Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma is a South African politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1999 to 2009 and Minister of Home Affairs from 2009 to 2014. She is the former wife of former South African President Jacob Zuma. Dlamini Zuma is a leading candidate to succeed Zuma as President of South Africa.
Dlamini Zuma was born in Durban, South Africa, in 1949. She studied medicine at the University of Natal and worked as a doctor before entering politics. She joined the African National Congress (ANC) in 1975 and was elected to the ANC's National Executive Committee in 1991. After the ANC came to power in 1994, Dlamini Zuma served as Minister of Health from 1994 to 1999.

In 2014, Dlamini Zuma resigned as Minister of Home Affairs to run for President of the ANC. She was defeated by Cyril Ramaphosa, but she remains a leading figure in the ANC and is considered a potential candidate for President of South Africa in the future.
