After completing his schooling in Pune, Rahul pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. He went on to obtain an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1965, where he developed a keen interest in management and finance.

Upon returning to India, Rahul joined the Bajaj Group, founded by his grandfather, Jamnalal Bajaj. Under his astute leadership, Bajaj Auto emerged as a global leader in the automotive industry, renowned for its iconic scooters and motorcycles.
