Green was just a teenager when he was drafted into the Army in 1943. After training, he was assigned to the 87th Infantry Division and shipped to Europe. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was part of the liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp.

After the war, Green was assigned to the guard force at the Nuremberg Trials. He was responsible for guarding the Nazi war criminals who were on trial for their crimes against humanity. Green's job was to make sure that the prisoners were safe and secure, but he also had the opportunity to talk to them and learn about their lives.

Green's experiences at the Nuremberg Trials were life-changing. He saw the horrors of the Holocaust firsthand and he learned about the importance of justice and accountability. He also developed a deep understanding of the human capacity for both good and evil.

Just Kid Guard at the Nuremberg Trials is a powerful and moving account of one young soldier's experience at the historic trials. It is a must-read for anyone who wants to learn more about the Holocaust and the importance of justice and accountability.
